We are the Rights steering group in St Patrick’s. We are passionate about ensuring all children and young people know about their rights, as set out in the UNCRC Articles on the Rights of the Child. To do this, we organise assemblies and workshops to help children learn about their rights. In 2023, we received the Rights Respecting Schools Bronze Award and in May 2024, we achieved the Rights Respecting Silver Award. This year, we are going for gold! We practise our rights everyday and ensure that pupils in St Patrick’s feel listened to and taken seriously, as stated in Article 12.
