Uniform

We are  proud of our uniform at St Patrick’s Primary. Our uniform was agreed in consultation with pupils and parents. It is expected that all children attending Saint Patrick’s Primary School will adhere to this dress code. We always have spare uniforms/swaps available for anyone who requires them.

Our uniform gives children the sense of being part of our school community and  also enables staff to easily identify our pupils when we are out on trips or exploring the local area. This helps us to keep everyone safe. We expect all children attending St Patrick’s Primary School to adhere to our dress code.

The school uniform is:

  • White shirt or polo-shirt
  • School tie
  • Grey tailored trousers or skirt
  • Green pullover OR sweatshirt OR cardigan
  • Green blazer OR green fleece/waterproof jacket
  • Grey tights OR white or black socks
  • Black school shoes
  • Green shorts and gym shoes or trainers for PE

St Patrick’s School uniform can be purchased from the BE Schoolwear Shop at 35B Argyle St (at the back entrance to Argyle Street Station, across from the St Enoch Centre).

You may also buy on-line from www.border-embroideries.co.uk

School ties, blazer badges and green gym shorts are available to buy from the school office.

Gym Kit

It is important that pupils come prepared to learn, and for PE this requires appropriate clothing.  All jewellery must be removed, this is in keeping with GCC Education Service’s Policy.

Pupils who are not participating in PE must have a note or a medical certificate. Pupils who are unable to participate in practical PE should still bring their kit to allow them to assist in the lesson by refereeing, keeping scores or assisting with the distribution of equipment. This ensures that they are still able to take part in some way and do not miss out on the knowledge and understanding of the lesson.

The school’s PE kit consists of green shorts and gym shoes or trainers.
