Recovery Curriculum

Recovery Curriculum Rationale St Mungo’s Primary

At St. Mungo’s, we are aware that this time has been unprecedented for our children, families, staff and wider community. We understand that the transition back to school will be very important for our children, and that it is key for us to work together to make this a success for all our learners.

Please take time to look at our Recovery Curriculum Rationale above which explains why and how we intend to approach learning and teaching in a unique way going forward, our priorities within this and key partners who will support us – including our parents and families!

Further Guidance – Please Note…

We are delighted to be welcoming our children back this week, and are keen to make sure everyone is safe and able to feel comfortable in our school!

In light of this and government guidelines, we would ask our parents to:

-Please contact our school office to arrange a telephone appointment should you require it as we are not able to accept parents within the school building until further notice. Please ensure you remain outside the building too during drop off and collection.

-If your child develops the symptoms of COVID-19, in line with national guidance, it is advised that they remain at home and your GP or doctor is contacted.

Thank you for your support in helping to maintain our school as a safe place!

Welcome Back!

Our School

We are so exited to be welcoming our children back to St. Mungo’s! We have missed you all very much and have been working hard to ensure our school is ready for you to return safely.

All parents should have received a text message by now with the following information:

We are delighted to be welcoming our children back shortly!

To support a phased return and smooth transition for everyone, we invite all children to attend School for 2 days next week, on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th August only (Primary 1 9.15 – 12.15pm both days).

Updated Government guidance advises that we can then re-open full time for all children from Monday 17th August.

Risk Assessments and Safety measures are in place and will be available for you to view on our website shortly!

If you have not received this message, it would be important that you provide our school office with up to date contact information if this has changed, especially your email address and mobile contact number.

Thank you and we are looking forward to seeing you soon!
