WELCOME BACK

A big hello and welcome back to all our pupils and parents/carers.

This term is definitely a very different one but we are excited to be delivering online distance learning with our pupils via Seesaw (P1-5) and Showbie (P6-7).    If  you have any queries or issues accessing these apps please email Mrs Fitzpatrick.

A Special Message from Mrs Fizpatrick

 Hello Boys and Girls,

All the staff here at St Bartholomew’s would like you to know how much we miss each and every one of you.

We know these are very strange times for everybody, this includes your parents and all of us staff too. We will get through these hard times because we are in it together.

I would like to express my gratitude to your parents and carers over the last few weeks. I know you have been very busy with your home learning.  Well done!! I have been keeping up to date with your progress on twitter.

Please remember to post what you can on twitter. It is cheering us all up!

We will also keep you up to date with lots of information so make sure you are following us on @stbartholomews1.

For the last 2 weeks your teachers have been very busy working hard to set up Seesaw (P1-P5) and Showbie (P6-P7) for you. These platforms will be ready to go on Monday 20th April.  I would like to thank our staff for their hard work and dedication, ensuring a range of activities will be ready for you all after the holidays.

Don’t worry if you have not yet connected yet just ask your parents to email the class teacher or Mrs Fitzpatrick at:

Headteacher@st-bartholomews-pri.glasgow.sch.uk and we’ll help get you connected.

Tomorrow we finish up for our 2 week Spring Break and next week is Holy Week. This is a very important time in our Liturgical Calendar. Try to take some time to say your prayers, rest and enjoy some quality time with your family.

Have a lovely Easter children and families.

God Bless.

Welcome to St. Bartholomew’s Primary School. We are a Roman Catholic Primary School serving the population of Castlemilk. The home, Church and the school form a partnership, at the centre of which is your child.

My name is Angela Fitzpatrick and I am privileged to be the Head Teacher of St Bartholomew’s Primary School.

As Head Teacher it is my intention that your child will receive the highest standard of education possible within a caring Catholic environment. I am committed to creating every opportunity for your child to succeed and to be a motivated, confident and ambitious individual.

Our school has a happy, positive ethos based on our gospel values. We have very high expectations of pupil behaviour and children are guided to take responsibility for making positive choices. Children are rewarded for their efforts and we invest considerable time building our children’s confidence and self-esteem. We ensure the highest level of pastoral care for our children and families.

Our school community is an extension of our school and we aim to develop relationships in an atmosphere of trust and partnership. We welcome the opportunity for you to be a partner in your child’s learning and we encourage you to become involved in the life of the school. Parental engagement is very important to us in St Bartholomew’s Primary and we welcome your involvement as a full member of our school community through our Parent Council or as part of the wider Parent Forum.

Please contact myself at the school if you ever have any queries. I will be delighted to help you in any way I can.

Angela Fitzpatrick
