St Albert’s School Return Guidelines

Phased return for Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Primary 1
Start 9.15am
Finish 12 noon

Primary 2 – 7
Staggered start between 9.30am till 10am.
Finish 2pm

Please report to appropriate playgrounds. Your child will be directed straight to their class.

Normal school hours will resume on Monday 17th August with staggered start & finish. More details will follow.

St Albert return information

Good afternoon!

I hope you are all well. We are all delighted and excited to be returning to school next week. Guidelines are being issued by GCC and plans are being put in place for our safe return. We will update you as soon as we receive more information.

Some of you have contacted me with questions and it’s lovely to hear from you so I thought it would be useful to share some first day information so far.

Return – Wednesday 12th August at 9am (entrance guidelines will follow)

Uniform – black jogging trousers, black sweatshirt or school jumper/cardigan, purple T-shirt (can be purchased from school from Monday 10th August. Further instructions on collection will follow) outdoor shoes/wellies, indoor plimsoles or soft shoes, warm jacket.

Full uniform is optional but pupils will learn outdoors every day as planned so warm clothes are advised. Uniforms can be laundered as normal.

School bags are not necessary on our first week back as we will provide all resources required.

School meals will be available as normal and I would encourage P1 – P3 to use this service as meals are free.
You may bring a packed lunch if necessary. Pupils may bring a healthy snack and water for playtime.

Schools are prepared for part or full time education as directed by GCC. At the moment schools aim to return full time however this needs confirmed by our government nearer the time. We will keep you informed as we receive information.

Next week we will be inviting small numbers into our outdoor area for a Primary 1 visit. You will get to meet new friends, meet some teachers, play games and explore parts of our school. This week your parents will receive a text telling them the date and time of your visit. Looking forward to meeting you all.
