Good Afternoon

Welcome to our last week of term 3, I can’t believe how time is flying. There are a few date changes to our events calendar & a few events added.

  • Emergency Meeting for Parents/carers regarding Education Cuts

Thank you those who attended this meeting on Thursday. Along with other schools, our Parent Council are following guidelines from our Glasgow City Parents Group

Action planned by our Parent Council:

  • Email resent today containing minutes of emergency parent meeting, template of parent letter to be sent to councillors & Contact emails addresses of councillors involved in decision making. 

Please take some time to read this & send your own email. There will be help available in room 10 on Wednesday from 2pm for anyone requiring assistance with sending emails.

  • Protest: GCPG have organised protests. An email from our Parent Council will be sent today with more information.
  • Local Council Surgeries: Join with other schools to attend meetings to express our views as parents. Contact the Evening Times
  • Q & A Session with local Councillors: PC will email & arrange a date to unite with other local schools & nurseries.

  • Parent/Carer Progress Meeting

Tuesday 7th May @ 5 – 7.30pm & Wednesday 8th May @ 3.15 – 5.45pm

A short Child Progress Report will be sent out prior to your Parent/Carer progress meetings. This will assist the discussion with your class teacher in literacy, numeracy & Health & Well being. A longer time has been planned for these meetings. Please expect more information re meetings on Monday 15th April.
