Last year, our pupils worked with Safina Mazhar, Raisah Ahmed and Yasmin Hanif to create a collection of short stories. We launched the “We Can be Heroes” collection last Friday with great pride!

Now, these amazing writers want to work with our parents on a new collection of stories that draw on South Asian folklore and fairy tales giving them a modern twist to bring them to your children. Safina, Raisah and Yasmin all speak English, Urdu and Punjabi fluently so this is an opportunity for any parents who speak any of those languages to take part.

There are three workshops taking place this week with follow up workshops in three weeks‘ time:

• Yasmin Hanif – Thursday 2nd December 11am-12:30pm then a follow up on  Thursday 16th at 1:15pm-2:45pm
• Safina Mazhar – Thursday 2nd December 1:15pm-2:45pm then a follow up on Thursday 16th at 11am
• Raisah Ahmed – Friday 3rd December 11am-12:30pm then a follow up on Monday 13th at 1:15pm
