We are currently undertaking our Transition Programme for our new Primary 1 children who will be joining us in August 2023.
This involves opportunities for children to visit our school for learning and play experiences. This also includes Buddy Visits. This is where some of our P6 pupils engage in ongoing visits to our local nurseries where they begin to build positive relationships with our new pupils prior to summer. Our programme ensures that we are beginning to work in partnership with our new parents and carers through a series of induction events. This is where we share the vision and values of our school as well as what can be expected during Primary 1.
We have strong relationships with our feeder nurseries. Staff carry out ongoing visits and dialogue with nurseries to ensure that all transitions have are effective and have a positive impact on the children who will be joining us.
