The Appeal by Janice Hallet

Witch Hunt by Ian Rankin
The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri
The Marriage by K.L Slater
The Young Team by Graeme Armstrong
It was a close tie between ‘The Beekeeper of Aleppo’ and ‘The Young Team’ but ‘The Young Team’ won due to the familiarity of the story with some of my own experiences growing up in the West of Scotland. This book explores numerous issues including poverty, alcoholism and gangs to name a few. It looks at how young people may find themselves in situations and the consequences of their actions.
April
