This week the children has been working very hard. In maths we were using the mirrors to spot multiple lines of symmetry within different shapes and objects. After our classroom activity we took our learning outside to find natural items which are symmetrical.
In writing the children have been continuing the learn to write a recount. We have loved using our Halloween theme for this activity. In reading the children are practicing their metalinguistics. This week we have been focused on definitions of words. The children have loved using the reciprocal reading strategy to practise their reading each day.
To celebrate Bonfire night, the children learnt about The Gunpowder plot, then created some beautiful firework art using onomatopoeia to link this to our literacy learning.
Finally this week in our library committee the children were challenged with creating comic strips in partners to be displayed in our school library.
Well Done P4b!
