Good afternoon,

We began this week learning about and celebrating Chinese New Year! We had the pleasure of welcoming some experts into our classroom who told us about traditions and helped us make Chinese lanterns and write Chinese characters! We also started our first persuasive writing piece on why someone should go to Disney World, ensuring to use persuasive language such as questions and commands. We learned more about Ramadan in RME and continued with Fractions in Numeracy – more specifically, comparing fractions with different numerators and denominators. Excitingly, we started a new topic – Rainforests – and began our process of making rainforest dioramas!
