We have had a fantastic, busy week of learning in Primary 1c!
This week, we have been practicing our initial sounds s, a, t, p, i and n. We have been working hard to recognise each sound and have enjoyed using them in different activities. We also created our very own colourful monsters and wrote fantastic character descriptions about them! We used adjectives to describe what our monsters looked like and came up with lots of brilliant ideas.
In numeracy, we have continued to develop our confidence with recognising and writing numbers 1–10. We have also been introduced to number sentences, beginning to explore how numbers and symbols can be used together to show our mathematical thinking.
We have been exploring our Journeys topic in the playroom, where we enjoyed lots of activities linked to different modes of transport. One of our main focus stories has been We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, which has inspired lots of fun learning and play as we explored the different parts of the journey.
This week, we talked about sharing and why it is important. We discussed the different people we share with every day, both in school and at home, and thought about how sharing can help us to be kind and caring friends.
Well done P1c for a super week of learning!
