Primary 1b Wallacewell Primary

Weekly blog for Primary 1b!

Primary 1b have had a busy and exciting week of learning!

In Maths, we continued developing our number skills by working with tally marks and skip counting. We also revisited money, helping the children recognise coins and use them confidently during activities and games.

In Phonics, we focused on the “ch” sound. The children practiced saying the sound correctly, spotting it in words and using it in their reading and writing.

We were very excited to begin our new topic on dinosaurs! The children enjoyed learning facts about different dinosaurs and used this as inspiration for writing in class, sharing their ideas and imagination.

To finish off the week, we enjoyed taking part in music activities, exploring body percussion and keeping a steady beat. The children had lots of fun making rhythms using their bodies and listening carefully to each other.

Well done to Primary 1b for another great week of learning!
