It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in P1b this week! What an amazing time we’ve had as we head into the festive period.

This week we really ramped up our nativity practice and took to the stage to rehearse our lines and sing songs that have been on repeat in class for a little while now. It’s going really well and we’re very excited for you to all see the end results of all the preparations.

We enjoyed a festive whole school trip to see The Little Mermaid panto at the King’s Theatre this week – a great experience and the behaviour of our class was exceptional, I’m so proud of them all!

In literacy this week we looked at the story of The Jolly Postman and used our knowledge to create story maps of all the places he visited to deliver the post – it made us think how busy the postal service must be at this time of year delivering so many Christmas cards!

In numeracy we learned more about subtraction and were lucky to be joined by Mrs Cattley who showed us wonderful ways to help take-away.

As a final note, keep a look out for letters about nativity and what sort of clothing to wear on the day to help go along with costumes – if there’s any issues just let us know!
