Primary 1b Wallacewell Primary

P1b’s Weekly Learning!

It’s been another hard-working time in our class and I’m sure all the children will be looking forward to a well-earned rest over the weekend.

In literacy this week we’ve looked at another two new sounds – b and u. That means we only have eight letter sounds left to learn in the alphabet, we really are motoring through them! We also continued using our describing words during writing as we discussed the appearance of the Big Bad Wolf. The children are really coming along with their writing and it’s an absolute pleasure to see!

In numeracy we’ve been building on our number knowledge beyond 10 and it’s fantastic to see how much progress the boys and girls are making. We’ve been using symmetry to make some wonderful drawings again with Mrs McDonald too.

Our topic over the next few weeks is The Enchanted Forest and the class are enjoying a variety of activities in our playroom covering different areas of the curriculum. We can’t wait to continue the fun next week!

As always, many thanks for your support and help at home – Have a lovely weekend!

Mr McCusker
