Primary 1b Wallacewell Primary

Another Exciting Week in P1b!

It has been a super week in Primary 1b, filled with engaging learning experiences and plenty of enthusiasm from everyone.

In literacy, pupils have been learning new sounds and developing their confidence in reading tricky words. They have also been blending simple CVC words and using adjectives to describe a range of imaginative Halloween-themed figures – there was no shortage of creativity when it came to designing our witches and monsters!

In mathematics, the class has been learning about number bonds to 10 and practising addition to find totals. Pupils also explored the concept of symmetry, identifying and creating symmetrical patterns with great success.

As part of our health and wellbeing learning, we discussed firework safety in preparation for Bonfire Night. Pupils shared thoughtful ideas on how to enjoy the celebrations safely and responsibly.

Also during this week, we celebrated Halloween with a fantastic school disco. The children had a wonderful time and looked brilliant in their creative costumes.

As always, thank you for all your support with your child’s learning!
