Another Busy Week in Primary 1A!

What a wonderful and busy week it has been in Primary 1A!

In numeracy, we have been learning how to subtract numbers up to 10. The children have been using lots of different strategies and resources to help them understand taking away — they’re becoming real subtraction superstars!

In art, we explored symmetry by creating beautiful leaf prints using paint. The results were amazing — colourful, creative, and perfectly symmetrical!

During literacy, we have been working hard on sequencing the story of The Three Little Pigs. Everyone enjoyed retelling the story in order and describing the Big Bad Wolf using some fantastic adjectives.

We also learned about Remembrance Day and why people wear poppies. The children showed great understanding and respect during our two-minute silence — such a proud moment for their teacher. ❤️

In the playroom, we’ve been exploring the Enchanted Forest, filled with imagination and creativity. The children have built houses for the Three Little Pigs, drawn symmetrical creatures, constructed bridges over bubbling lava pools, and retold stories using puppets.

As always, there’s been lots of fun, laughter, and fantastic learning happening all around. Well done, Primary 1A — what an amazing week!
