What a spooktacular week it has been in Primary 1A! We’ve been busy learning and having lots of fun along the way.
In literacy, we learned new sounds and practised reading some tricky words. We’ve also been blending simple CVC words and using adjectives to describe different characters — our witches and monsters were certainly interesting (and sometimes a little scary!).
In maths and numeracy, we’ve been working hard to make more complicated repeating patterns and learning how to add two numbers together to find the total.
As part of our health and wellbeing learning, we talked about what makes us feel angry and explored different strategies to help us calm down before we react. Everyone shared brilliant ideas on how to manage big emotions.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without some extra fun! We had a fantastic time at the Halloween disco with lots of fabulous costumes — superheroes, dancers, and more! We even made our own paper pumpkins to decorate our classroom.
What a frightfully fun week it has been!
🎃 Happy Halloween, everyone! 🕸️🦇
