We have recently been able to purchase Focus on Sound, a fabulous online listening programme which suits from age 3 to age 93! It also includes lots of SQA practice questions, so senior pupils please check it out!! Click on the link to the right of the main page and use your login details provided by your teacher.

 Mrs Preston is piloting online glow learning this week with pupils in SC1 and SD1. Please bring a set of headphones/earphones with you to class! And your glow account and password would be helpful…!

Music pupils have worked so hard over the past few weeks especially and now have 60% of the Nat 5 and Higher course completed. It’s time now to focus on Understanding Music so make sure to check out all the helpful revision material under the documents section of the website. There are also lots and lots of questions to practice under the courses section. For now, check out this fabulous concepts definition site and see how many words you know!

A reminder that the Drama Nat 5 performing exam takes place on Tuesday 25th and Thursday 27th April and the Higher exam takes place on Wednesday 26th April. Attendance at Easter school on Wednesday 19th is vital so please sign up with Miss Silver. There will also be an extended supported study session on Friday 21st after school and Saturday 22nd morning to give you the opportunity to have full dress rehearsals. Please put the dates in your diary!!

Wishing all our pupils all the best for the first day of performing exams. Stay calm, remember your dynamics and above all keep going! After this, we have one week to go until our final day so please make use of the department at lunch times and after school!

Orchestra rehearsals continue to take place every Wednesday after school. Attendance has been good, however if for whatever reason you can’t manage along to a rehearsal, please let Mrs Preston know!

Congratulations to our fabulous brass players; Natalie, Lewis, Kayley, David, Alexander and Ben who performed recently with the Glasgow Samba band at George Square. Despite the rain and wind, the music sounded fantastic!!

We are very excited in the Performing Arts Faculty to be launching Glee Club this week. The club will learn lots of songs frm musical theatre and our first concert has already been put in the diary: Tuesday 13th June. Rehearsals will take place on either Monday or Tuesday after school so please follow us on twitter and listen out for tannoy updates. We look forward to welcoming all pupils from S1 to S6!!
