We have been so busy this term, take a look at some of our adventures!
St Albert’s are developing a free shop to support those in our community who need support with food and clothes.
If you can donate, information below.
We have been so busy this past week!
on Tuesday a few of us got to read to the primary 2 class in the sensory garden. It was wet and cold but we still enjoyed it!
we also went to Pollokshields library on Tuesday. We got to choose our own book and bring them back to school to read them
on Friday we were shown a really cool experiment on changing energy from the Students who are visiting us from Oman. They showed us how to turn liquid into gas using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar and trapping the air in the balloon. We were so impressed!
while the boys are swimming the girls have been going some drama. This week we studied ‘the tunnel’ by anthony Browne. We got to play siblings and imagine what characters would say to their peers, and create our own spooky forest for our classmates to walk through.
finally, inspired by the pictures in the book, we created our own subtle clues for fairy tales out of play doh. Â An you guess what stories each colour represents?
Here are some photos of what we have been up to in term two so far
in maths we have been growing in confidence in our four operations- addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
we have been using concrete materials to show our number talks skills
in literacy we have been studying and analysing different picture books in order to see how they can be more diverse
We have also teamed up with primary one and have read to them and made posters with them.
we made play dough to use in our brain break station
We have used tools during outdoor learning
in all areas of the curriculum we have been learning how to be kind to each other and how to work well as part of a team
we have been working with Bridging the Gap. They have been helping us to get ready for secondary school
finally, we went on a trip to the science centre
