Experiencing weather!

On Friday 24th November we went a trip to Kelvingrove Park as part of our topic, Measuring Weather & How it Affects People’s Lives. Early in the morning that day, the sun rose into a crisp, clear sky and we had high hopes for a great trip. Shortly after, the clouds gathered, the rain started pouring down and we zipped up our jackets and went out anyway. While we were walking, the rain changed to sleet and was followed shortly after by snow! We were seeing and feeling how weather affects our lives in a very chilly, wet way. At the park, we had a very quick look at some real weather measuring instruments, we had a quick play and then walked back to school at high speed to get into our warm classroom and do an exercise video to heat us all up. It wasn’t the best trip unfortunately but even after all that weather, our lovely children thanked Mrs Cameron for taking them out. What a great bunch!
