What a lovely day we had, all cosy and warm in our PJs. P2/3 loved getting comfy to read some of our favourite stories!

Primary 2/3 have just returned from our trip to the library. We had a lovely time reading stories and we got to choose books to take away with us. Please enjoy these at home and return these to school within the next couple of weeks.
If you don’t already have a library card, please take your child along to sign up for one if you can… they were all very keen to borrow more books!

This term our P.E. focus is Basketball. So far we have been learning how to do a chest pass, a bounce pass and now dribbling with one hand. It is lots of fun!

We have been learning about place value. We have been using a range of concrete resources to make numbers and show how many hundreds, tens and units are in a number.
Using our knowledge of place value we have learned to order numbers from smallest to greatest and from greatest to smallest.

With Halloween coming up we have been having some Halloween fun. The children who attended the Halloween disco last night had a great time, as did the staff.
Today in class P2/3 have been creative, making Halloween collages… you can see some pictures below.
We are looking forward to our Halloween parties on Monday. Please feel free to wear a costume all day.
If you have any costumes that you no longer need, we would be most grateful if you would consider donating them to our school so they can be reused.
Have a lovely weekend,
From P2/3.

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are happy to now have our Blog up and running and can’t wait to share some of our learning with you.
We have had a great first day back to school and are looking forward to the new term ahead.
We would like to wish our friends and families a happy Diwali. Today we learned more about this festival and we then used nature to create some Rangoli patterns of our own! We worked as a team to come up with our ideas and create our patterns.
