Course Choice Information

Our Senior Phase Course Information event takes place virtually on Wednesday 17th January 2024 at 6.30pm.

To support all of our young people in making appropriate course choices, this website has been developed and contains all the information you should need to support you in making the right choices within the Senior Phase in King’s Park Secondary. By clicking on the following image, you will be able to download our interactive virtual classroom to access the key elements of this website.

Our S4 and S5/6 Options forms are now available on our website for your information. Personalised options forms which pupils are to complete will be issued by your Pupil Support Teacher.

We will try to upload a recording of our Senior Phase Curricular Pathways event onto the website for anyone who was unable to attend. If this isn’t possible, the power-point presentation can be accessed by clicking here.

After you have watched this presentation, there are three main elements of the website you may wish to explore further:

Course Choice Information

Within the Course Choice Information section of the website you will find Faculty Video Presentations  sharing information on courses available within each department which we hope will help young people to make choices for their Senior Phase. You will also find information specific to our S4 and S5/6 options process, including the link to the online options form.

Curriculum Subject Areas

Within each Curricular Subject Area, you will be able to explore all the different courses on offer within each of the eight curriculum areas. Information includes specific courses on offer, course content, assessment approaches and possible progression.

Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence

An overview of Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence detailing Scotland’s approach, what matters in the learner journey and our curriculum entitlements.

If you need any further information regarding the Senior Phase options process, please contact your Pupil Support teacher.
