1. A circuit consists of two resistors connected in series.

(a) Calculate the total resistance of the circuit.
(b) A 9 V cell is used as the power source. Calculate the current in the circuit
(c) Calculate the readings on:
(i) Voltmeter V1;
(ii) Voltmeter V2.
2. A pupil connects three resistors as shown in the circuit below.

(a) Calculate the total resistance of the circuit.
(b) The current through the 4  resistor is 3 A. Calculate the voltage across R3.
(c) State the voltage across R1 and R2.
(d) State the reading on meter V1.
(e) Calculate the current through:
(i) Resistor R1;
(ii) Resistor R2.
