This afternoon we had P6C join us for some shared reading in class.
It it was a great opportunity to choose our favourite stories and for our P6 friends to practise their reading skills.
We had so much fun!

P5a have been learning about Scottish Parliament as their new topic. 🏴
They have formed their own political parties within the class with a focus on making positive changes in their local community, Govanhill.
Each political party have came up with a name, logo, slogan and manifesto. We will hold a mock election next week.

We had a fantastic time in P.E today practising different ways of moving by pretending to be mini beasts.
We came up with lots of ideas on how to move as creepy crawlies. We buzzed like bees, slithered like snails, floated like butterflies, hopped like grasshoppers and wiggled like worms!
Moving like a spider was tricky, because their legs are on the side of their bodies, but some of us came up with some very creative ways to get around. It was a great way to take what we have learned in class and apply it to other skills we have been practising.
Can you move like a minibeast? 🕷🐝🐞🐌🦗🦋

We had lots of fun in P1b today on our 3D shape hunt.
We worked in teams to find as many cylinders, cuboids, cones and cubes as we could in the playground!
There are lots of 3D shapes out there – but some were harder than others. It took us a really long time to find a pyramid but we saw one on the roof of the hut!
We really enjoy learning outside. Our favourite thing about this activity was getting to work together in our teams.
We’re going to see how many we can spot over the weekend. We will be keeping our eyes peeled for 3D shapes at home, at the shops, or in the park.
