Primary 7b

Primary 7b have been helping the children of Primary 1, Primary 2 and 3 to make their Christmas craft for the Christmas Fair. With Primary 1 we made Reindeer Lollipops. There was lots of glitter involved and it was very messy!

We worked with Primary 2 to make Jelly Bean Santa cups. They enjoyed making the Santa cups and are excited to buy them at the Christmas Fair.

We made Snowman Soup with Primary 3. They glued googly eyes, a carrot nose, and buttons on to foam cups to make the snowman’s face and then they finished it with glitter. This special soup is a snowman’s favourite drink, it’s hot and chocolatey!

We had lots of fun working with the Primary 1s,2s and 3s making their craft. Thanks for welcoming us in to your classes!

Gobsmacking-ly great learning!

This week, P1a had great fun learning their new sound. Can you guess what it is?….

… Great guess! Our new sound is ‘g‘.

(Ummefarwah guessed correctly! We counted 59 grapes in the bowl!)

Govanhill library visit

As part of our Scotland Week celebrations P4b visited  govanhill library to research what the area looked like in the past. We also took part in a walking tour to find different places and services in our community.

Number bonds to 10.

In P1a, we know that there are lots of different ways to make the number 10.

We can use two tens frames to find different ways to make 10. Miss O’Neill is thrilled at how well we can record our number bonds. 👏🏼👏🏼

Look here to see some clever cookies…..

Learning ‘d’ was delightful!

Last week, P1a had lots of fun learning the ‘d’ sound.

We played with dangerous dinosaurs…. we designed dresses…. we took the dolls to the doctors and we even dug for diamonds in the dirt!
