Trees, trees, trees!

March 10, 2017 by Mrs Marletta | 0 comments

Through Outdoor Learning Primary 3 and 4 have been planting trees from the Woodland Trust. We want to welcome wildlife into our garden and encourage birds and insects to live here. To find out more about the work of the Woodland Trust and the importance of planting trees and protecting green spaces, visit their website here.

You say potato, I say delicious!

March 10, 2017 by Mrs Marletta | 0 comments

During Outdoor Learning Primary 2 have been learning how to plant potatoes and are looking forward to having a baked potato bonanza. They had to dig out a space, plant the seed potatoes, cover with soil and now they will have to continue to care for them as they grow. They will need to be vigilant as frost can damage a potato crop as can slugs!
