CURAMUS

***A REMINDER HELP NEEDED***

Hello everyone,

We are fortunate enough to have reached the public voting stage of the OneFamily Community Awards. By voting for us you could help us secure funds to buy new and much needed furniture for our recently refreshed classrooms. This would be a real boost to the learning environment at Holy Cross and as always we really appreciate your support.

Below you will find instructions and a link that will take you to the voting page.

Every vote counts so please vote and encourage friends and family to do the same! The deadline for voting is midday on Wednesday 30th November and I can’t stress enough that one vote really could make all the difference.

  • All voters must be over 18
  • All voters must register to the OneFamily Foundation
  • Projects with the highest number of votes win the funding

Class of the Month!

November 8, 2016 by User deactivated | 0 comments

kelvingrove-1 k2

Our class have worked so hard in all aspects of school life at Holy Cross, and as such, won Class of the Month. Our prize was a trip to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow’s West End.

The children had the opportunity to learn from the vast array of natural exhibitions, seeing many different animals and species, whilst also exploring some ancient artefacts from human history. Our topic this term is Animal Habitats, and the trip proved to be great experience for the class, where the rainforest exhibition and animal habitats on show helped to build our knowledge and understanding of the natural world.

Well done Primary 3a on achieving such a great accolade, fantastic effort and a very well deserved reward!

October 27, 2016 by Mrs Marletta | 0 comments

Hello everyone, please remember Primary 1 and 2 will be performing at our Hallowe’en parade on Monday 31st October at 1.30pm. Please see the attached image for more information and check your child’s bag for their letter and return slip.

Primary 3 to 7 are invited to dress up at lunch time and enjoy Hallowe’en activities in their classroom that afternoon. We politely remind everyone that children should attend in full school uniform as normal on Monday morning, costumes are only for the afternoon.

We are excited to see your clever creations, costumes and of course those spooky performances!

We had lots of fun events happening for national coding week. Across the week-

-The Primary 6a ICT coaches led workshops on coding games our code club had designed for Primary 1-3.

-The Primary 6b ICT coaches led coding sessions using the “hour of code” website and beebot games they had designed.

-Our STEM ambassador Roddy even paid a visit to share his coding expertise!

Don’t forget to ask your children about how they have been taking part in National Coding week #holycrosscoders
