In March, we won Class of the Month! We were rewarded with a brilliant trip to People’s Palace where we explored the museum and the winter gardens. You will also see some photos of us at the park- we arrived … Continue reading →
We were so excited to be on our trip that we arrived early to give us time to look at the impressive fountain outside of the museum which is the largest example of a terracota fountain in the world.
We especially enjoyed seeing the cacti in the winter gardens but were careful not to get too close- ouch! We also liked the ‘catastrophically’ big trees, particularly the banana tree. In fact all the plants were interesting to look at and smell. There was also lots of information about endangered animals. We liked learning about pandas, tigers, monkeys and dolphins.
Inside the People’s palace, we enjoyed seeing different exhibits including the statues, big banana shoes, nature photographs, old fashioned rooms and shops and the role play jail. We also enjoyed having our photos taken at the peep through photo board, except it made us wish we were at the seaside.
The trip was really fun and we would recommend it as a great idea for a family day out!
