Book Club

A book club is a great way of getting young people reading and developing their literacy.

EAL Learners benefit from dual language books (available free online and in Glasgow libraries), EAL books and picture stories. Young people can read the same story in their home languages, discuss it in a small group using their home languages, write notes, story boards etc and then attempt a group discussion in English.

You can access books via Libby App which allows you to borrow ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more from your local library for free and to translate them into different languages! Libby is the newer library reading app by OverDrive. Libby App Info
