Here at Drumchapel High we promote a culture of respect throughout the school between all pupils and staff. In 2017, to reinforce this as a school we achieved the Rights Respecting School award at silver level. Our focus as a school was to ensure that our young people feel that they are being respected through having the right to play, be safe, be listened to and of course have an education.
As a school we are now building on our success in the aim of achieving the next level in our Rights-Respecting journey and this year we are now going for gold!
What parents/carers can do to help:
Our journey starts here in school between pupils and staff but parents and carers can also help reinforce our progress. Encouraging young people to get involved with our journey and promote respect within school or joining our parent-teacher council are ways that you as parent/carers can help us in becoming a gold Rights Respecting school!
