In Cranhill we understand that our children need to develop digital skills in order to be prepared for life, learning and work in today’s world. This includes the ability to use digital technology in a safe and responsible way.
We are committed to helping our children learn through the use of digital technologies, and our teachers and Digital Leaders ensure that the use of digital technologies is embedded in learning and teaching across the curriculum in ways which are challenging, innovative and fun.
We were delighted to have our staff and pupils’ hard work recognised with a Digital Schools Award in 2021, and we continue to grow and develop our pupil’s digital skills and the use of these across their learning.
iPads in Glasgow
We are fortunate that every child in our school has access to an iPad through Glasgow City Council’s iPad deployment program to help develop their digital skills. The links below (created by Glasgow City Council’s Digital Learning Team) explain the vision behind the use of iPad technology across the whole of Glasgow, give more information about the iPad deployment program, and describe what we expect of our pupils when using their iPad.
