Ongoing research shows that family engagement in schools improves pupil achievement, reduces absenteeism, and boosts parents‘ confidence in their children’s education. Students with involved parents or other caregivers do better academically, have better social skills, and show improved behaviour.
In Clyde Primary throughout the year we have many opportunities for you to engage in the school with your child’s learning such as:
-
parent’s night
-
open afternoons
-
workshops
-
stay and play
-
read write count
-
inter-generational choir
-
assemblies
- Play Along Maths
However engagement with your child’s learning can be as simple as talking to them about their learning at home, sharing a book or completing a shared home learning task.
