The boys and girls really enjoy taking their learning outdoors. We have been learning about ‘connecting words’ at language time and the children are very good at identifying and using ‘and’ and ‘but’ correctly in their sentences.
The children enjoyed running to the correct ‘connecting word’ to complete the sentence.
We can’t believe that we are in the last term of P1 – what a quick year it has been. We have attached an electronic copy of the final P1 Newsletter for this session.
Primary 3 took part in a fantastic learning opportunity provided by Generation Science in conjunction with the Edinburgh International Science festival. The Bricks and Blocks workshop was an interactive workshop where the children had to work as part of a team to create a Lego robot and then program it to move correctly following commands. The children created football goalies and programmed them to move and save goals. This was an excellent workshop and a thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience for the children. Have a look at P3 in action!
We would like to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who came along to the upper and lower school Easter Celebrations yesterday. A special thank you to Ellis for introducing each class and to P3 for telling us the Easter story.
We hope everyone has a lovely Easter holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday 18th April at 9am.
It was another very successful Community Spring Fair this year and we would like to thank all staff, parents and helpers who made it such a successful event. The weather wasn’t as good as it has been in previous years but it didn’t stop everyone turning out to support the event. Lots of wonderful prizes were won – thanks to the Parent Council for providing the prizes.
