Drama In P4!

Primary 4 have been doing a topic called ‘The Boy And The Bunnet’. Yesterday in drama they sat in the hot seat and answered questions as some of the main characters. Some of the boys and girls managed to use some of the Scots words we have learned in the topic!

Please click on the link below to view our classes Curriculum Newsletter. We would like to draw your attention to our classes attendance and late coming information. Late-coming and poor attendance is a big concern at Camstradden Primary. We would like to encourage all families to ensure children arrive in school on time each. This is also our whole school New Year Resolution for 2023.

Please help us to improve late-coming and attendance by ensuring your child arrives in school on time each day.

Merry Christmas from P4!

Miss Gordon and Primary 4 want to wish all our families a very merry Christmas! Hope you all have a lovely holiday and we look forward to seeing the children back in the New Year x

Pupil Of The Day in P4

Each class selects a pupil randomly every day  to be ‘pupil of the day’. The pupil of the day receives compliments all day. Primary 4 love receiving compliments and say it makes them feel happy. All children get a shot of being pupil of the day and when it is your child’s turn you will get a message on Seesaw with some of their favourite compliments from that day. Look out for a post with this attached to it!

The focus for health & wellbeing in November has been healthy and the class have exploring then importance of  a balanced diet. They are compiling a mini cook book of healthy recipes so please send us any recipes you have on Seesaw and we will include them in our book!

RME: Our themes this term is Buddhism and this week the class read a Buddhist story called ‘The Wind And The moon’.  Make sure to ask your child about the message learned form the story.

Cinema Trip 10th November

Primary 4 went all the way into the city centre last Thursday to see ‘The Croods 2’ at Cineworld. This trip linked to work we have been doing in class on film literacy. Everyone enjoyed the film, especially Miss Gordon and Mrs Neil who laughed almost the whole way through! We were very lucky to have 2 parent helpers come with us. The boys and girls all followed our code of conduct and were ready, respectful and safe at all times; we even got a compliment from the bus driver on their good behaviour!
