Four pupils from Primary 4 were selected to attend a tennis tournament with Kyla, our tennis coach. They tried their best to remember all the skills they have taught in their coaching sessions and they were great ambassadors for Camstradden!

So far Primary 4 have spent over 2,000 minutes at home reading! An amazing effort so far – our next milestone is 3,000 words!
Primary 4 are taking part in a ‘We Love To Read’ challenge this term. Each child has a bookmark to log the number of minutes they spend reading for enjoyment: 10 minutes = 1 book coloured in. 100 minutes completes the bookmark. We are aiming for 10, 000 words for the whole class! Your child should have a bookmark like the one below in their bag – let’s see if we can meet our target!!

Our fabulous football coach Sharon has been working with our Wednesday afternoon Acorn group all term. She is vey impressed with their listening skills, their resilience and sense of fun! Keep up the great work footballers.

Primary 4 got to choose their favourite maths games to apply their learning of the 4 operations. Funky Mummy was voted the favourite!

Primary 4 have been doing a topic called ‘The Boy And The Bunnet’. Yesterday in drama they sat in the hot seat and answered questions as some of the main characters. Some of the boys and girls managed to use some of the Scots words we have learned in the topic!

After school clubs will restart next week (week beginning 23rd January). See below for list of clubs. Children will be given the opportunity to sign up this week and permission letters will be sent out before the end of this week. Sorry for the delay; this was due to staff absence.
Miss Gordon and Primary 4 want to wish all our families a very merry Christmas! Hope you all have a lovely holiday and we look forward to seeing the children back in the New Year x
