Learning for Sustainability Week

This week was Learning for Sustainability Week at Balornock.

Our favourite activity this week was our visit to the Fire Station on Wednesday. During our visit the fire fighters were called to an emergency but it turned out to be a false alarm. We got to see inside the fire truck and use the hose. We all got soaked by the fire fighters. Morgan, Adam, Dee and Reilly sat in the back of the fire truck.  We also saw an old fire engine from the 1920s.

On Monday, the whole school enjoyed a big Balornock breakfast! We had loads of fruit, pancakes, bread and crackers and cheese spread, and loads and loads of other excellent foods!

On Tuesday, we enjoyed our danceathon led by Miss McMillan. We danced in the upper gym hall for 30 minutes straight – it was lots of fun!

On Thursday, we took a walk up to Springburn Park to complete a geocaching activity. We also spent around an hour with some kickboxing coaches learning some basic kickboxing moves!

On Friday, we enjoyed an hour and a half of Sports day…some activities included basketball and football dribbles, hurdles, rugby, skipping race!

Overall Primary 4 have had a terrific week with loads of fun and active activities.
