Book Week 2018

This week we are enjoying ‘Book Week’. There are lots of challenges set for us and we have visited Waterstones to spend our book tokens.

This week we asked the children about how they are getting on with the ‘readathon’ challenges. The children and teachers have been trying really hard. Lots of children have read poems, books with a blue cover, read at bedtime, read in the bath and read in unusual places. Mrs Gurd has read to Angus her pet and her husband.

We asked about favourite books, authors and books they would like to read.  Some of the favourites were Harry Potter, The Bolds, Murder Most-unladylike, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Ratburger and Gangsta Granny. Lots of children said they would like to read these too.

We are excited to enjoy the rest of the week – especially World Book Day where we can dress up in costumes or pyjamas.

Upper School Special Golden Time

This week we are starting ‘Special Golden Time’ for the upper school.  Special golden time is when you get to spend time with your friends by going to different clubs.
