Each year, Mr Currie surveys the parent on their views around homework. From this process, we create a homework programme that best meets the feedback from this process. This means that homework can take a varying form from year to year but also from class to class. Specific communication from each stage/class will be shared as and when homework is assigned.

Common homework tasks your child may be asked to complete are:

• Weekly spelling words
• Targeted maths task to support classroom learning in worksheet form or on digital platforms (Education City, Topmarks, Sumdog etc.)
• Reading books or digital reading activities (Oxford Owls, read theory, Sumdog Literacy tasks etc.)
• Special Research/Projects based on Broad General Education areas
• Preparation for special school events such as Burns Day and Ashpark’s Got Talent
