Anti-Bullying
The school wishes to promote an ethos in which bullying behaviour does not feature and to this end we have a code of behaviour for staff, parents and children.
It is important that everyone associated with the school has a clear concept of what is considered bullying behaviour.
Bullying is a situation in which a pupil is constantly and systematically abused, either physically or verbally, by an individual or group.
Preventative Measures
- Actively promote positive behaviour by example, discussion and within classroom teaching e.g. Moral and Religious Education, Literature.
- Encourage children/adults to report any acts of a bullying nature.
- Create an ethos where everyone is valued.
Sanctions Against Perpetrators
- Counselling within the school with parents present.
- Withdrawal of privilege e.g. clubs, sports, outings.
- Exclusion from school.
Standards of Behaviour/Discipline
The school aims to provide a happy working environment, which is conducive to learning.
To achieve this aim it is necessary to establish acceptable standards of behaviour to which pupil, parent and school adhere.
It is essential that all parties play their part in promoting true partnership.
Throughout the school we use Good to be Green to promote positive behaviours.
