Allergy Aware School

At Anderston Primary School, we are committed to providing a safe environment for all children, including those with food allergies and other medical conditions.

We have a number of pupils and staff who live with severe allergies, some of which can cause life-threatening reactions. As an Allergy Aware School, we ask all members of our school community to help reduce the risk of accidental exposure to allergens.

While we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, we take all reasonable steps to minimise risks through staff training, individual healthcare plans, careful supervision and close communication with families.

We kindly ask parents and carers to support us by being mindful of the foods and products sent into school and by following any guidance issued regarding specific allergies. By working together, we can help ensure that all children are able to learn, play and thrive safely.
