This week we are learning how to calculate the mean of a number. The mean is when you add the total and then divide by the number of participants.

Hi everybody this has been a hard working week for Primary 7. This week we have been learning how to podcast with Mr McCormack.
Its was fun while we were doing Drama acts based on persuasive writing.
Also we need to be aware of the things we post on social media which we call ‘Digital Footprint’.
This was a proud moment for Shayan Ahmed as he won the Friday Prize certificate.
thanks for reading, it has been a pleasure writing for you

Hello primary seven!
here is some examples of the rounding decimals work we have done this week as demonstrated by your fabulous classmates. You can watch these back in the future if you need some help for how to round using decimals.
we definitely have some future teachers here!
We have had another crazy busy week this past week!
we have been staying active both indoors and outdoors.
when the weather was terrible we did yoga in class. This is good for our bodies and our minds as it helps us to stay calm.
When the rain went away we played a new game called Time Bomb. Here we are focussing in our team work and accurate passing skills.
we have also been doing lots of drama this week to focus on our health and well-being. We created scenarios that involved anger and demonstrated ways to calm the situation down and make it right again.
finally we have been trying out a new software for us, Microsoft Teams. We will use this to communicate when we are at home doing things like homework.
if anyone in the class is still having trouble accessing Microsoft Teams please let Miss Webster know and she will do her best to fix it in class.
remember iPads should be coming into school each day with enough charge!
Here’s to another great week!

Welcome to Primary 7! We are so excited to be back at school and learning together. Here are some fun things we have been getting up to on this sunny week.
In literacy we have been reminding ourselves of nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs.
we worked in pairs to take slow mo shorts of various verbs, then using our vocabulary skills to describe them using the mark up app.
we were also using the beautiful weather to our advantage in our writing. We sat outside and used the space as inspiration for some creative writing.
we have been discussing what life will be like in primary seven and how it is different to all the other years. We have a lot more responsibility this year and so have been thinking about the kids of people we want to be. Here is a sneak peak of an art piece we are creating to show our personal goals for this year.
we can’t wait to see what the rest of P7 has in store for us!
a friendly reminder:
you must charge your iPad each evening at home and bring it in to school each day as we use them loads!
we should all have indoor shoes, waterproof jackets and waterproof jackets in school every day for lots of outdoor learning.
