Reading Non-Fiction

In preparation for World Book Day, P5/6 were learning about Newspaper articles.

We discussed the layout of Newspapers and how the most important news stories go to the front of the paper.

Pupils got to read lots of different kinds of articles and summarise them with their peers.

They then tried to test their friends’ understanding of the articles by asking them lots of questions about it.

We tried our hardest to think of deeper level questions by using our Higher Order Questioning Matrix to really challenge each other!

Happy World Book Day!
