This week Primary 2b have been working very hard.

We have made animal masks and we learned how to paint them. (Maisa)

We have been learning about non-fiction books and we are writing our own books about cars, bicycles, boats, motorbikes and aeroplanes. (Ava)

We have been learning about animal movements and we have been creating our own animal dance. (Idris)

We’ve been learning about the song, Carnival of the Animals, and we have been making up a dance to go with the music. (Eesa)

We’ve been learning about Robert Burns and we learned and performed a Scottish song and dance at our Burns celebration. (Sumiyah)

We have been learning how to add and take away using the game called Hit The Button! (Zahraa)

Primary 2b have been outside this morning, learning how to describe a setting. We used adjectives to describe what we could see, hear, feel and smell!

“There are spooky, old trees that are baldy and brown. There are big, old sandstone houses with triangle roofs. We could hear birds tweeting and car engines. It felt freezing and we could smell the cold air.”

P2b had an amazing time on Tuesday working with staff from the BBC television studios! We helped them with ideas to create a new TV show and a game for children!

This week we will be learning how to describe a setting using WOW words. We will be looking at different pictures and we will try to describe them. You can help us at home by asking us to describe the setting in pictures from books, magazines, comics, newspapers, the internet, the TV, or any other photographs you have taken.

The boys and girls in Primary 2b have been working so hard this week. They also had great fun yesterday afternoon when they watched a pantomime performance in our school!

This term we are doing gymnastics in P.E. We have started off by learning how to do pencil rolls and forward rolls.
