This week we visited Stirling Castle as part of our Scottish Clans and Castles topic.

We visited 4 areas of the castle and completed our work booklet.

• Palace –  we saw the Queen’s bed,  a lady in waiting and food for the queen like fish.
• Great Hall and Kitchens – we sat in the thrones of the king and queen and we saw the different foods – pigs, chickens, ducks, bread
• Castle exhibition and Elphinstone Tower – we saw cannons and archways, we went to where the constable stayed when the king and queen were away
• Vaults – we could dress up in Medieval Times clothes and we saw the jester telling jokes
