This week is the start of Fairtrade fortnight. We have been doing different activities as part of this –
- Learning about what Fairtrade means
- Making Fairtrade posters
- Listening to a Fairtrade speaker talking about unfair prices for farmers
On Tuesday it was pancake day and we made pancakes with chocolate chips, Nutella, lemon and sugar. It was scrumptious!
We also had our second Barrowland Ballet session of this term to help us prepare for the Wolves performance we are taking part in at the Tramway on Saturday 18th March. Isaac, who will soon be joining us in Class 2, was visiting this week and took park in some of the dances too 🙂
This week was also World Book Day and we have been learning about non-fiction texts and how they are different from fiction.
As well as all of this we have been continuing our topic learning on Clans and Castles, doing some work on 2D shape and learning about safety in the home – another very busy week in Class 2!
