Parents Early Education Partnership
HELP YOUR CHILD GET OFF TO A FLYING START FOR SCHOOL
PEEP (Parents Early Education Partnership) is designed to help give children the best start they can have by working with parent/carers to make the most of daily learning opportunities.
PEEP recognises that parents and carers are a child’s first and most important educators and aims to support parents to give their children a flying start in life.
The PEEP ‘Learning Together’ programme offers ideas and information to support children’s learning through everyday activities, encouraging children and adults to be confident learners, and is underpinned by the following PEEP principles:
We believe in the potential of every parent, every carer and every child
We believe that relationships are at the heart of learning
We recognise parents and carers for what they already do, and help them to do more
We believe that lives can be transformed by building on everyday learning experiences
We recognise the importance of reflecting on the world through the eyes of others
PEEP sessions are run termly by Su Davies and Megan Donaldson. They normally run for a 5 or 6 week block and are held in the nursery Dining room. Each session focuses on a different area of learning, with discussions, songs, rhymes, play activities and stories. Please see posters in the nursery and consult our newsletter for the dates and times of PEEP sessions.
