Nursery staff recognise that parents are children’s main educators in their earliest years and they continue to play a major role in their young child’s learning when they enter our nursery. Parents/grandparents/carers are welcome to spend time in the playrooms and are a valuable support during our weekly visits to the Recycle Bank, the local library and our weekly Beach or Forest Kindergarten sessions.

If you have an area of expertise you could share with us please let us know. In the past parents/carers have come into nursery for a variety of purposes:

• To talk about their job e.g. nurse, joiner, fire fighter, police officer.

• To demonstrate, share a skill and answer questions, for example about a new baby, a pet, a different culture, baking.
