Pupil Voice Groups

Pupil Voice at Torbain

At Torbain, we have a variety of Pupil Voice Groups which allow our children to be actively involved in their learning, as well as decision making related to school improvement. We regularly seek and value the opinions of our learners.

Our current groups are:

– Digital Leaders

– STEAM Ambassadors

– Reading Ambassadors

– Fairtrade Ambassadors

– French and Spanish Ambassadors

– Eco Ambassadors

– World of Work Ambassadors

– Health & Wellbeing Ambassadors

– Music Ambassadors

We will share some updates from our Pupil Voice Groups below.

An Update from the Reading Ambassadors

Reading Our Reading Ambassadors planned for World Book Day celebrations and worked with the Parent Council to support with ‘Torbain Book Tokens’.

They also visited Waterstones to spend some funds given by the Parent Council to purchase new book titles for our class libraries. Thank you to Alison Major, Chair of the Parent Council, for supporting with this.

An Update from the STEAM Ambassadors

Our STEAM Ambassadors worked in classes to share activities across the school for British Science Week. Thank you to Mrs Bell for organising this and for working with Kirkcaldy High School STEAM Ambassadors who joined us to lead the learning in some classes.
