Welcome to St Kenneth’s School family.
We hope that this is the start of a successful and happy journey through the education process for you and your child. The information in this website will tell you something about St Kenneth’s but there are a few areas of great importance that I wish to highlight.
Everything we do at St Kenneth’s is based on a shared value system with Christ at the centre. We teach the children respect for self, for others and for the environment. We reinforce these teachings by promoting the Gospel Values of wisdom, justice, compassion and intergrity. The Charter for Catholic Schools, contained in our school booklet, outlines the guiding principles of our mission, here at St Kenneth’s.
Our curriculm is focused on enabling our children to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. These are our four capacities in a ‘Curriculum for Excellence’, which strives to bring life to learning and learning to life.
Our aim is that, through working in partnership and with honesty we can ensure that our children are given the opportunity to succeed, are happy and are encouraged to fulfil their potential.
In our school there are 12 classes and an intergrated nursery. There is a hall, small gym, dining area, library, music room and a computer suite. St Kenneth’s benefits from extensive tarmac and grassed play areas. We are situated at the edge of Ballingry and we have beautiful farmland adjacent to our playground.
We are aiming to create an attractive learning environment where pupils, parents and staff work together to provide the highest possible standard of education for all our pupils.
