Children need support to cope with change both when coming to nursery and when moving on to the next stage of their learning path.

For children starting nursery we offer 4 Early Bird Sessions. The purpose of these visits is to allow your child to meet the nursery staff in their new rooms, the children who are already in the room or those who will be starting at the same time. Staff will be available to answer any questions you may  have about your child’s entry  into nursery.  A presentation by the Headteacher, Lorraine Rotchford as part of the transition process, will cover all aspects of nursery life.

Transitions to school are carefully planned with local primary schools.  Supportive visits and information events are held for parents/carers and children during the year prior to starting school.  Further information will be posted as it becomes available.

We ask parents to complete a short questionnaire during their first term to assess if our programme is meeting the needs of both yourselves and the children. Your honest  feedback helps us with ongoing improvement.
